Heat Treat Sales Up 3.8% Over 2013

| With 142 heat treat plants reporting, sales continue to edge upward towards the end of 2014 with year-to-date sales for the Metal Treating Industry for August 2014 were $627.7 million. That is an increase of 3.8% from 2013 when sales for January-August equaled $604.7 million.Sales for the Metal Treating Industry for August 2014 totaled $79.2 million, an increase from 2013 when sales for August equaled $76.0 million.Six out of the nine MTI districts reported higher sales in August 2014 compared to the previous year.
