With 140 heat treat plants reporting, year to date sales for the Metal Treating Industry for April 2014 were $303.0 million.  That is an increase of 1.7% from 2013 when sales for January-April equaled $297.9 million.  Sales for the Metal Treating Industry in April 2014 totaled $79.2 million,  an increase from 2013 when sales for April equaled $77.4 million.  Five out of the nine MTI districts reported higher sales in April 2014 compared to the previous year.
